Appointments
How Can I Book An Appointment?
You can book your appointment online using our booking system here. Alternatively, feel free to contact by phone or via Facebook here. Online booking is the fastest and easiest option.
Initial consultations for a new patient typically take around 50 to 60 minutes, allowing time for a thorough discussion of your presenting complaint, health history, assessment, treatment, and management planning. Follow-up appointments are usually 20 to 30 minutes, while extended appointments can be booked if you’d like more time to address additional concerns or focus on wellness.
If it has been more than six months since your last appointment, we recommend booking a longer follow-up or extended appointment. This ensures there is adequate time to review your current presentation, address any new concerns, and adjust your plan to best support your recovery, goals, and overall wellbeing. How Long Is An Appointment?
Do I Need A Referral?
No referral is needed to book an osteopathy appointment. You can book directly for general care, recovery, or wellness. If you are using a GP Management Plan (GPCCMP) or claiming through certain third-party insurers (TAC, WorkCover), your GP may provide documentation to support your care.
You may also be eligible for a rebate through Medicare or insurer, if you’re unsure, feel free to contact me directly and I can help guide you.
Can I Use My Private Health Insurace?
Yes, many private health insurers provide rebates for osteopathy under extras cover. Rebates vary between insurers, so it’s best to check your policy to see your coverage.
If you’re eligible, I offer HICAPS, so you can swipe your card or tap your electronic card from your phone and pay only the gap fee at the time of your appointment.
Do You Accept WorkSafe Or TAC Claims?
Yes, I can provide care under TAC or WorkCover when appropriate. Appointments may require documentation from your case manager or employer, and I will work with you to ensure the correct forms are submitted.
You may also be asked to complete additional questionnaires or forms, which help guide your care and support the claims process. These are designed to benefit you and assist in your recovery, ensuring your management is well-informed and tailored to your needs.

Treatment
Do You Crack Joints?
Osteopaths use a variety of hands-on techniques to help you move more comfortably and improve how your body functions. HVLA (High-Velocity Low-Amplitude) involves a very quick, small movement applied to a joint that isn’t moving as well as it should. It can help restore movement and ease tension in the joint and can be beneficial when used within a tailored treatment plan.
Do You Crack Joints?
Whether HVLA is right for you depends on your individual needs, goals, and preferences. Before any treatment, we take a detailed health history, discuss your priorities, and explain how each technique works, including the potential benefits and any risks. If HVLA isn’t suitable for you, either because of your presentation or your personal preference; there are many other techniques we can use to help you move better, manage discomfort, and support your recovery.
My approach is always tailored to you, focused on helping you improve and regain control of your movement, while keeping your comfort in mind and minimising potential risk.
I'm Pregnant. Can I Still Have Treatment?
Osteopathy can be used to support comfort, mobility, and wellbeing during pregnancy. Treatments are tailored to your stage of pregnancy and your individual needs, with techniques adapted to minimise risk. We take a careful approach through thorough assessment, ongoing communication, and, where appropriate, collaboration with your healthcare team to ensure your care is guided and coordinated.
Do You Treat Children?
Absolutely. I provide osteopathic care to support movement, recovery, and participation in activities that matter to children and adolescents, including sport and hobbies. Care is tailored to each child’s age and development, with parents or guardians involved throughout.
• Children under 16 are always accompanied by a parent or guardian, who will be involved in discussion and consent.
• Young people 16–17 may consent for themselves if they understand the proposed care, but I encourage a guardian to attend appointments in my home-based clinic.
Do You Treat Children?
Care is explained in clear and easy-to-understanding language where options are discussed, and consent obtained before treatment. The goal is to help children and adolescents move comfortably, recover, and stay active, with parents or guardians involved throughout.
I maintain a current Working With Children Check in Victoria, providing added assurance for parents and guardians.
Can I Bring A Partner, Friend,
Or My Children To An Appointment?
Yes of course! I understand that attending appointments alone can feel daunting, and that it can be hard to find time for yourself when you have children. You are welcome to bring a partner, friend, or your children with you. I aim to provide a comfortable, inclusive, and supportive space where everyone is made to feel at ease. Having someone with you is always welcome if it helps you feel more confident, supported, and comfortable during your visit.
Ok Sounds Great! What Should I Wear?
Wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows movement and easy access for assessment and treatment. You may be asked to remove shoes or outer layers, depending on the area being treated. Ultimately, your comfort comes first, and you can choose to remain fully clothed if you prefer.
All treatment will be clearly explained, and nothing will be performed without your consent.

If your goals or needs are outside the scope of osteopathy, we can discuss alternative options or help you connect with other healthcare providers. Our focus is always on supporting you to achieve your goals safely, even if that means guiding you elsewhere.
